      Star Wars mostly…

I am a ‘Mechanical Engineer’ who works in the space industry, this is part of why I wanted to be an engineer, because as a mechanical engineer I can work on anything, cars, buildings, submarines, washing machines, sports equipment, and so on, but space sounded like a very interesting thing to get into and I didn’t realize I actually could work in this industry!

I always like Space and found it interesting, so I studied physics, and then discovered later that I could be an engineer! So, I’m quite lucky as I have learned a lot since being at work and could now go into other industries like aeroplanes etc (but I wont as I like designing spacecraft!)

I like the science and exploration aspects of space, but I think being an engineer is as much about how you approach solving a problem as it is the particular area. Many of the ways we do things for space are the same as engineering problems on Earth.

So, I like exploring, but without the hassle of living in the jungle to do research or spending months at sea on a research ship!

Not sure, always found space really interesting. That we can go to other planets and discover far-away objects and the mechanics of the universe is exciting. How does the universe work? Why are we here? Are we alone?
Also it puts things in perspective. Why are we fighting for small pieces of land when there is a huge universe out there to explore!

Is there anything you find about space exploration interesting?
