Actually, they are both interesting bits of kit. I’ve got several friends who work in the games industry (artists, coders, musicians, another example of creativity crossing disciplines), I think its interesting to look at the technology choices that both companies have ended up with for the PS4 and Xbox one.
They’ve both ended up with essentially customised PC-like system, rather than something as ‘exotic’ as say the cell processor in the PS3.
From a pleasure point of view – I always loved Tomb Raider on Playstation. But, from a technology point of view I am always amazed at the processing power and what can be achieved now.
