• Question: What does it feel like knowing that one of your inventions are in space?

      Well, actually, the only thing I have built myself that went to space came back – so at the moment there is nothing there 🙂 The problem with spacecraft is they take aaaaagggggeeee to build, so stuff I worked on years ago is only just getting ready to launch to space now! But I’m in no rush – very excited to know that my contributions will (hopefully) be soon working up there…

      Its fantastic, and a bit weird to think that something you helped build is floating around in orbit around another planet.

      I remember when we looked at the first data we received from a Moon instrument I worked on was returned and we got to see into the shadowed, cold craters near the south pole of the Moon for the first time. We were among the first people (less than 10) to ever see these parts of the Moon, which was amazing.
