      1) Design robots that we can send out to explore the solar system.
      2) Design robots that can make life better for people on Earth.
      3) Find life elsewhere.

      Working on all these.

In my career, one goal is currently to be responsible for the complete design and build of a whole spacecraft and the technical team. This however will take me many more years to reach as I still have so much to learn! But that is why I love it – I am always learning new things. Perhaps a more standalone goal is to be at the launch of each of my three missions so far. One will be in South America, one probably in Russia and one probably in America. Another goal of mine is to help people understand how engineering affects their lives, and the career options from science and engineering.

I’ve been lucky to be involved in a few missions already that have launched. A definite highlight was seeing the results from an instrument I worked on launch, go into lunar orbit and then find some of the coldest natural places in the Solar system for the first time, at the Moon’s south pole.

What I want to achieve – probably a small satellite instrument that is much cheaper to build and operate to observe the Earth and help answer questions related to our atmosphere and weather.
