I’m a systems engineer which means I’m bit of a jack of all trades, however I do specialise in robotics, AI and biomimetics.

I specialise in large satellites, and my job is to get all the parts to work together. My specialities really are mechanical, thermal and propulsion, along with some manufacturing experience. As a systems engineer though, I need to know about it all, from the orbit design to the materials properties!

I’m a mechanical engineer, so I work on the mechanical parts, starting with the requirements from other areas (optical or thermal for example), so I design parts and analyse them to try to make sure it will meet these requirements before I send them to be built and tested.

I specialise in planetary science and exploration, so I work on developing new types of instruments to send to other places in the Solar System. As well as working in our Solar System, I’m trying to develop new instruments and techniques to characterise planets around other stars (exoplanets).
