Jess will probably have the best answer for this, but from my (man) view, boys and girls both have equal amounts of talent and skills to become engineers. Whether you’re a boy or a girl shouldn’t change things, instead, it is your interest and effort that will make you one!

Thanks Alex- I agree. I don’t think there is any difference, what matters to me is that I enjoy it and I want to make sure everyone I work with is also enjoying it. I hope that there will be more balance in the future, but everyone I work with is very professional and will want to work with me because of the work that I do, not who I am, and I am very pleased that that is how it is. Engineering will not be everyone’s career choice, but like every other job, it should be for everyone who chooses it (and I think it is).
