• Question: if you pick gcse or btec what would you do

      Both are good as long as you enjoy them and can do your best. Here, we take apprentices who have done either. Once they are on the apprenticeship scheme then they can end up doing any job in the company in the long term- I work with lots of people who came in through the apprenticeship scheme. The company may also support them to do a degree later. A lot of universities will also accept btech now, but some of the top ones don’t, so if you want to study physics or engineering at a top uni the gcse is perhaps better, but you could do engineering at a lot of other places with the btech. I did the gcse/ a-level route, then uni.
