When I find out, I’ll let you know! 😀

That said, what makes an engineer successful? Good pay? Working on interesting projects? Having a team working with you? All of these happen basically immediately when you start working and slowly get better as you progress. I just started my career, and I think I’m doing pretty OK 🙂

I guess the only way you would not be a successful engineer is if you didn’t like engineering very much. It is something you need to enjoy to make you happy!

The beauty of engineering is there is always more to learn and discover. Which is why I like it! The important things I think is to make sure that everyone on the team is successful, no matter how long they have been an engineer for.
I am pleased that at work I now show more junior engineers what to do and they work for me on my projects. It is showing me what I do, and don’t, know.

As long as a piece of string is.

After uni if you start work straight away you can get chartered in 2-3 years.

For me success (at the moment) is building an excellent robot that can navigate robustly. I’m working on it.
