  I really like this question! It is mainly because of the shapes involved – on a motorbike the rider is in a crouched position and airflow is directed around them. If they suddenly stood up on the motorbike then (aside from probably crashing) they would probably not be able to remain standing up because the increase in force from the air resistance would be too much for them to manage.
