Not special ones no. I never really sought them, and if you don’t ask, you don’t get. I probably should have tried for a few, but I don’t think they are super important.
Yes, I have won some at work. Outside of work I was a WISE engineer of the year finalist.

Also been in newspapers and other online articles. So, awards don’t matter, but being involved in fun stuff like that is always good.
As a member of some successful spacecraft teams I’ve received a few NASA group achievement awards. Nice as these are, the real reward is seeing the thing you helped build working and producing interesting science results.
To be honest, the reward I have is a job that I enjoy doing. On the teacher side of things I get a big amount of satisfaction from watching people I’ve taught develop in to scientists and engineers.
